Taking the Streetcar
Carvill, Mezan, Dave and Martha on the Spadina Streetcar.
Streetcars use sand to help them stop. On rainy days, when the tracks are wet, the sand gives them extra traction when stopping. They store the sand under two of the seats at the front of the train.
