Good Morning Toronto

Good Morning Toronto

I have a lovely view of the city.

I didn’t set my alarm clock, yet I woke up at exactly 10 past 7. This is when my alarm clock would normally go off. I stayed in bed a little while longer, and then noticed that the sun was coming up. It looked too nice not to drag myself up and snap a photo.

(Should I have cropped the bird out?)

  1. You probably should have. Or just used a clone tool or something and remove it. Verynice photo regardless.

  2. I'd go with cloning. I like the ratio of sky to earth in your current picture.

  3. I think the bird would be cooler if it looked more like a bird, and less like dirt. Though it does seem out of place. Over on Flickr [I have one comment from a guy that likes the bird there](http://flickr.com/photos/funkaoshi/280539041/#comment72157594347092741).

  4. I wish the sun was a bit more to the right. Then the CN tower would look more centered in that bright spot. The bird gives everything some sort of reference in terms of scale too. Like just how far the city is. Doctoring it would just make it seem ->| |<- that tiny little bit fake.

  5. I don't think it would look quite right with the tower in the centre. Most photos seem a bit off when the subject is dead centre I find. Also, the nature of our skyline is such that it probably wouldn't work as well.

  7. I can’t believe I shot this at ISO 1600. I’m such an idiot.
