Brand New Day
A self-portrait of sorts at Los Iguanas.
This space has been derelict for far too long. I don’t know why I was so lazy about getting it up and running again. I liked having a photoblog. I imagine i’ll like having one again. Flickr is good, but it’s not the same.
I’m not longer using Movable Type. The whole site is hosted with Textpattern. This isn’t a perfect solution. There are somethings missing now that I’m unsure how to get back — like the monthly Calender display — but i’m sure with time I can get the site working like it used to. Going through this process, I’ve noticed how obtuse Textpattern can actually be at times. (The import script needs to be documented much better. I shouldn’t need to google to find instructions) A lot of the nuances I knew quite well before I’ve long since forgotten — like when to use article_custom. Still, I’m a fan of the way it works. I haven’t found another CMS I like more.
Anyway, I digress. We Must Abuse the Broadband is back. If there are any weird quirks with the way things are displaying, let me know. I have noticed one glaring display bug, but i’m not sure most people will notice.
Comments
How come the grayish background doesn’t cover the whole page? Didn’t it use to do that? Now its like a block of gray and a lower block which is a darker gray.
And I expect frequent updates for your tardy return!

The greyish background used to the cover the whole page eons ago. I changed it to all white a long time back. Not marking off the comments some how looked ugly, hence the background.

As an occasional viewer I also enjoy your photos. I only wish mine would turn out so nicely…
