A painting of me

"Why are the scientists underwater?"

Shaolin Soccer is wicked funny. Stephen Chow is quite talented at making comedies. The film follows a young student of Shaolin kung-fu, played by Chow, as he tries to spread the message of his teachings. Chow’s character is approached by a disgraced soccer star who wishes to start a soccer team. The film features some very innovative special effects, which are all done quite well. The computer graphics are all blended quite seamlessly with the live action. This movie is definitely worth watching. Do yourself a favour and get the Hong Kong version of the movie, because I’ve heard that the Mirimax release is going to dubbed, edited, and otherwise butchered.

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
