Strip Mining for Creative Cities. ⇒

   15 January 2009, mid-morning

"Strip Mining for Creative Cities explores the processes that strip away neighborhood and community resources and leave behind 'facades' to be consumed by the market." The Toronto Free Gallery is taking a look at gentrification. This exhibit sounds amazing, so it sucks I have to miss the opening. If you are in my neighbourhood be sure to check it out. (Also of note: one of the artists featured is Sri Lankan.)

Don't be shy, you can comment too!

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google": will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
