About

I’m just another Persian girl living in an adopted country (Canada). I moved here a long, long time ago with my parents and brother because my parents got fed up with the government in Iran, and rightly so. I was recently officially made an aunt to an awesome 9 year old and a sister in-law to Queen Alison… I must say I love it!

I’ve lived in the same neighbourhood pretty much since when I moved to Canada (I like to tell everyone that it is the ghettos of [the old city of] North York, and no it’s not Jane and Finch!) I’ve also lived in Waterloo, where I did my undergrad in Planning. It seems like a long time ago, but that was only two years ago when I finished. I moved downtown in February 2007 and rely on the TTC to get me places.

I’m working towards my masters in planning at the University of Toronto now. I’m not married but engaged to the man behind A Funkaoshi Production. So please, if you are male and Persian looking for someone to marry, don’t email/message me. I’m not interested. However, if you are male and Japanese, be free to leave a message! :P

I’ve done Karate for a long time and enjoy it a bit too much. I teach little kids Karate at the YMCA, where I also practice. My karate friends are the closest thing I’ve ever had to an extended family. So you guys better book time off this coming September!

This entry doesn’t sound anything like my old “about” page, before I took my blog off the air ways.. this is a bit more sober. I’m not anything like that.. well I am sometimes. But I like to think I am the biggest big kid you’ll ever met. Life is too short to be an adult.

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
