The Great Walk

Last night with the TTC not working Ram and I decided we’d walk from the Distillery District to Ram’s Friend’s house. It took about an hour, but that includes our stop at Solferino for some Gelato. It was a real nice walk. I think we’re going to go for another long walk today. Thanks TTC you’ve made me realise I can walk EVERYWHERE. I don’t need you!

    It’s a really interesting thing… walking in lieu of transit.

    I had to do the same thing when I missed the last streetcar back to my hotel when I was in Portland.

    Walking’s great when there’s a lot to see (i.e. downtown). Time goes by pretty quickly. That said, I’d hate to walk an hour up in some parts of North York. I think I’d be bored with the lack of interesting things to see.

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
