Brant Park (?)

There is a lovely park near where I work but it has no name. I’m going to call it Brant Park since it’s just north of Brant elementary school on Brant Road. It’s a very nice park and it’s neatly tucked away from the hustle and bustle on Spadina Avenue. I’ve gone there once in the morning before work (because I’d arrived way too early) and another time during lunch. It was busy at both times. There is a small kids’ playground and lots of seating and shade. The only thing missing is a nice water feature, but that would just be a bonus.

Does anyone know what the real name is? I’ve walked around the perimeter and I don’t see any City of Toronto Park signs and the City of Toronto: Parks and Rec website doesn’t suggest that it is owned by the city. Maybe it’s a private park?

UPDATE: I did a quick search on the City of Toronto Maps page and turns out the park is called St. Andrew’s Playground. Here is a little bit of history on playground rules and some archive pictures (1) (2) of St. Andrew’s Playground.

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
