Christmas 2009

I always complain that if it weren’t for my immigrant parents I would have gone to OCAD and did something artsy (In hindsight, I think if I had pushed for a it a bit more, my dad would have been on my side. He’s a pretty creative dude). But that’s no way to live. Sometimes I have a buildup of creative juices all waiting to be unleashed. When I was younger the creativity manifested itself in all sorts of ways (e.g., one year I kept a journal of poems I wrote about every day normal things.). More recently, I’ve noticed I like producing things with my hands. I really think the reason I picked up knitting in high school, way before it was hip to knit, was so I could produce something creative with my hands. I feel like this year is the year of creativity. I hope to produce / or start at least some thing creative per week or more realistically per month. To start off with a bang, I decided to make a few hand-made Christmas cards for a few of my friends. Ram was nice enough to post them on-line for me. (They’re not professional, but they are all quite unique and I hope meaningful for the people they were made for.)
In other news: I’m working on a project with my brother that will probably take a good part of this year. But hope to have snippets of it on here sometime in the next few days.
NTS: I need to do a creative shimoticon.

You do realize that if you went to OCAD, you most likely would never have met Ram, right?

Hiya Shima. Wonder what you will be creating monthly. I am curious. I used to be creative too but then it just vanished. I did the Card thing and the Short Story Writing thing. Sort of have me thinking of starting up again.

A new entry! You blog less than I do. I wish I was creative. I find after work, I have no desire to do anything remotely creative, instead, I just waste hours looking at hot Korean chicks on the Internet… A sad life.

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
