Donating Paletlets

I got a phone call yesterday at about 11 am from the Canadian Blood Services. They wanted me to go in because I was a match with someone. I figured, since I couldn’t make it the last time they called me, and the last time I donated was over a year ago, it was about time.

I got there right one time, and the process started within 20 minutes of getting there. My nurse was a sweet heart, but I think when she punctured my vein she did something strange. The next half hour were hell. She tried a few different things to make it less painful, but none of it really worked. In the end I tried to concentrate on the movie instead of the pain, which worked to some extent. It took about 2.5 hours for them to finish the process.

I’m not sure I want to do it again.. not for a while any ways.. but then I’d feel guilty if they called and I said no.. bleh..

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
