What shall I do now?

It’s almost the end of another school term in the land of Shima and everything Shima related. I have two more papers due this week, but I’m hoping they will take care of themselves. So, what do I do now? I have big plans of finishing my portfolio… Does that sound familiar? Yeah, I never finished it last year. So, I shall try again. I have to look for a job for the summer as well.. I was thinking of maybe looking for an internship in Japan, but it looks like a lot of work and I’m also secretly looking forward to working in the “big city”. I have my eye on one specific planning/architecture/urban design firm, so I hope I can get some sort of internship with them. I don’t have any real preference for any other firm though… We’ll see how this all pans out.

I don’t want to jump to conclusions so quickly, but if I were to sum up this term in one word, it’d be mediocrity. Yep, that’s it. But I am looking forward to the new term for two reasons: we have a Planning law class (I really enjoyed both Planning law classes I took in my undergrad) and we have what looks to be a real neat design studio next term. Here’s hoping.

Should I take an extra class next term? I was thinking of doing it.

  1. tiff says,

who’s teaching planning law? my prof in property named Arnold Weinrib uses to teach it…if you have him, i think it’ll be a blast.

and i dont think i’m allowed to planning law unless it’s a law credit, not planning grad course. boo-urns

  2. tiff says,

ok i’m a nerd and i looked up who’s teaching it. it’s Stanley Makuch! he wrote practically half of the readings for Plan 471…
he’s supposed to be a famous municipal lawyer. one lawyer i worked for was taught by him. his nick name is “Stan the Tan”

    ahah

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
