Henna

In North India the brides write their husband’s name in Henna on their hands, and decorate most of their bodies with the stuff. In South India they don’t really do that. I think the rising popularity of Hindi movies in the Tamil community has caused the rising popularity of henna in Tamil weddings. Min wasn’t decorated with any Henna, but many of the girls had their palms covered with Henna.
