I can’t say I had heard of Kurt Swinghammer before last night — i’m not particularly hip. Actually, a good chunk of the people at the Closer to the Heart show were new to me. That’s what made the show so good; I was pleasantly surprised by all the talent. Derek Downham, also pictured in the photo, played the shit out of his guitar the whole night; great stuff.
