Persian tea, like most tea I suppose, is bitter. As I understand it, the correct way to drink Persian tea is as follows: one is supposed to take a sugar cube and dip it in the tea, suck the tea from from the cube, and finally place the cube in your mouth and drink the remainder of the tea. I guess you would repeat the process when your sugar cube dissolves. My friends and I didn't have the energy for such tasks so we were dropping sugar cubes into our tea to watch them dissolve.
