I’m guessing a bunch of Put This On fans were all, ‘Whuh?’, when confronted by a bunch of black dudes talking about their Polo. The first episode of the new season of Put This On is pretty great—except for Jesse Thorne’s horrible and/or creepy moustache.

Sepia Mutiny is closing down shop in April. (The site will remain up, but this month marks the last month of new content.) This is a real shame. Sepia Mutiny was really one of the best sources for South Asian news written by other South Asians. That’s not to say it was without its faults. It was home to some of the shittiest comments on the internet. Much to my chagrin, there coverage of the war in Sri Lanka was also consistently one-sided. Still, they were doing something no one else was, and that’s to be commended.

Journalist Annie Lowrey decided to learn how to program as part of a month long hiatus from her regular work at Slate. During that time she discovered the Ruby programming language, and learned about the disappearance of Why, the Lucky Stiff! The article weaves between her talking about learning to code and her search for _why. It’s all pretty great.

One of the founders from Foursquare (the brown founder!) looks to have been pushed out of the company. They don’t actually tell you how to avoid getting pushed out, though the answer seems clear to me: own your company.

Today is my last day at Goldman Sachs. After almost 12 years at the firm — first as a summer intern while at Stanford, then in New York for 10 years, and now in London — I believe I have worked here long enough to understand the trajectory of its culture, its people and its identity. And I can honestly say that the environment now is as toxic and destructive as I have ever seen it.

The flip-side to all this is ethnic enclaves and woe-is-me. Ethnic Aisle is pretty great.
