- Choosing Secure Passwords.
I use 1Password (which is amazing) to store all my passwords. After making the switch to that program I no longer repeat passwords. I actually don’t know the passwords to most of the sites I log in to, they all look like some variation of this: kfovwdzxiXYEkyH9b6YBKbEjgcbCGT.

26 year-old Inuk woman Loretta Saunders was (presumably) murdered by her roommates over money. She was researching the missing and murdered Aboriginal women of Canada.

- Cloudwash.
A surprisingly interesting look at what a “smart” washing machine might look like. The people at Berg internet enabled an existing washing machine and it’s pretty cool.

- Yahoo webcam images from millions of users intercepted by GCHQ.
Sexually explicit webcam material proved to be a particular problem for GCHQ, as one document delicately put it: “Unfortunately … it would appear that a surprising number of people use webcam conversations to show intimate parts of their body to the other person. Also, the fact that the Yahoo software allows more than one person to view a webcam stream without necessarily sending a reciprocal stream means that it appears sometimes to be used for broadcasting pornography.” The document estimates that between 3% and 11% of the Yahoo webcam imagery harvested by GCHQ contains “undesirable nudity”.
I’m curious what would constitute desirable nudity to the GCHQ.

- Bitcoin Exchange Mt. Gox Goes Offline Amid Allegations of $350 Million Hack.
Early reports suggest 744,408 were stolen over the course of a year. What’s funny is that in the Bitcoin community it sounds like most people knew it was a terrible exchange. Anyway, since deposits are insured … oh wait, they aren’t a bank: suck it, libertarians.

- A new exhibit of Anser's work.
I think his last show was at (the now defunct) Funktion Gallery back in 2009. Anser is one of my favourite artists, and his faces should be recognizable to any Torontonian.

- Watch Kate Upton posing in zero gravity in a bikini because science.
I guess the different between regular models and super models is that super models can fly in that crazy Zero-Gs plane and not look nauseous.

This is what it is all about: some words, some photos, and it’s god damn great; some proper-ass blogging right here.

- CandySwipe Open Letter to King regarding trademark.
If you are playing CandyCrush you are a bad person. The people that make that game are basically terrible. (CandyCrush are in the midst of trying to trademark the words Saga and Candy.)
