The second half of the Doppelgängers episode of This American Life is absolutely fantastic. It’s about PTSD, and how people living in violence ridden projects suffer in the same way as people returning from the war. It’s very effecting.
That it’s paired with a story about pig butts secretly being used as an alternative to calamari was a strange choice, but probably makes the later story feel all the more raw.
