Nikon is really laying the smackdown on Canon. ⇒

The D90 has crazy specs. Nikon seems to have come out of nowhere recently with some really amazing new cameras.
This is a post from my link log: If you click the title of this post you will be taken the web page I am discussing.
fuck, it looks amazing. let’s say lots of nice things about it and maybe nikon will give us a tester.

Can you really say Nikon “came out of nowhere”?

You know what I mean. They have really been playing second fiddle to Canon in the digital camera space for a while now. Then they came out with the D3 and D700.

in general photographic terms nikon is the standout. they used to rule the amateur and pro segment with film. lost the pros to canon with the digital invasion and now are back with a bang. refresh the primes and we might finally see the end of the canon hegemony.
and a dRF will be nice too. don’t like SLRs anymore.

I really like the d-movie feature. Wonder how well it really works in real life and not in the advertisement.

Why is it always “second fiddle”? Why not “second flute” or “third english horn”? I’m think I should start telling people I’m a timpanist by vocation.

I can’t tell if this is a sarcastic question, but in an orchestra, violin is the only instrument of which there is a “second” section.

It started out genuinely enough, but devolved into sarcasm. I appreciate you taking it seriously and dropping some knowledge.
