They also apologized for the the listeriosis deaths. The Torries are good at apologizing. Also, from the article, "The Conservative Leader added that, while the remarks were insensitive, they were made during a private discussion." You have to love the Torries. What kind of stupid excuse is that? "Yes I called him a Jew loving Fag, but you weren't supposed to hear that." (Who wants to bet that's how conversations at Tory headquarters go?) The Torries are stuck in a time-warp.

Last time I checked, “private conversations” included things like Harper asking his kid how his day was at the dinner table, not Ritz discussing policy issues with other party politicos in the room and via conference call. That was not a private conversation, that was a cabinet meeting.
The fact that it was a constituent from his own riding that died because he cut back on inspections for this kind of thing is the icing on the cake.
