Where McCain Lost It. ⇒
16 October 2008, early morning
Shima is convinced Obama is going to lose, which you may recal is what I thought some weeks back. Now it seems like it will take an act of god or a military coup to get McCain into the White House. I now think Obama will win by a healthy margin, unless Republicans have seriously improved their election scamming kung-fu. November 4th should be an interesting day.

Maybe polls lie – the nytimes are worried about the bradley effect.

You’d need the mother of all Bradley effects at this point though. He is so far ahead. He also did better in the primaries than polls suggested, the opposite of what you would expect to see if White people were planning on voting for the White dude once they were alone in a ballot box. I agree, lots can happen between now and November 4th, but you really need crazy ass shit to happen for his numbers to drop so low McCain could win.

The republicans will issue a red-orange-amber alert to scare democrats from voting.

Five Thirty Eight actually wrote about the Bradley effect back in August.
