  1. You know what, I’m kind of annoyed at all these comments on metafilter asking what the Canadian government will do for him. Who the fuck told him to go to Iran? Did the Canadian Government hold his arm behind his back and force him to?

    I hate people who have Canadian passports and travel to Iran and expect the Canadian Government to help them if they get in trouble. If you are Persian you should know better than to travel to Iran, Canadian Passport or not.

    And I bet he was travelling on his god damn Iranian Passport too.

    And yes I think Zahra Kazemi was a different story. She was trying to document how horrible things are in Iran. I bet Hoder didn’t/doesn’t have a noble cause like that.
