  1. It turns out facebook just lists friends my friends know. No fancy heuristics or algorithms. I thought some of the people under “people I may know” were not friends with either Justin or Steph (the people who requested me to be friends).

    My original guess was that facebook still had random data on me from years ago and was pooling that to determine who I may know.

    In the end Facebook isn’t that freaky.

  2. I thought you didn’t have anyone on your friends list period? It also probably assumes people sending you friend requests are people you know, and pulls in their friend data.

    I think it’s creepy that if my friend comments on one of their friends photos, I can know see all the photos in that friends album, even if we aren’t friends. WTB?

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
