8 members of the team are hurt. 6 of their security personnel. What? The BBC has more information. Ajantha Mendis and captain Mahela Jayawardene were both injured, though it sounds like only 2 players remain in the hospital.

Pakistan is royally fucked thanks to these islamists. I hope people finally realise that these fuckers don’t care about targetting westerners or Americans but anyone including their own to get their agenda. At this stage that looks like creating another taliban style state withing Pakistan by isolating it from the rest of the world. Crying shame that the people in Pakistan don’t realise this and stand up against these jihadi fucktards.
Sangakarra has written an article suggesting that it was a miracle they survived. Considering that they were almost hit by a rocket, it is not much of an overstatement.

I love Sangakara. This story in the Economist also suggests that it was fairly brave of Sri Lanka to head to Pakistan for the tour.
