1. I could never marry a Persian guy for many reasons (!), but I think above all, I’d be too worried his political views and that of his parents would not mesh with my parents. I probably couldn’t marry a white guy either because the whole family comes first thing just doesn’t work with most white people I’ve met.

   I really think the Tamil/Persian mix is probably the best combination ever! More people should try it. ;)

3. I think one of the flaws with her argument is the assumption that people who are brown are going to have the same values as you, by default. My guess is in a particular community there is going to be a lot of variation in what people consider important and not important. It’s funny she considers her Punjabi / Hindu coupling a same community relationship, when a lot of people would find that gulf too big to cross. Focusing on race this way seems simplistic to me.

   Anna mentions how other brown people are going to come with preloaded brown software, but I can definitely introduce her to brown dudes who are going to break that theory.

   Ram it would be a pretty awesome cat fight, but unless my girl ends up being a Ninja, I imagine Shima would actually kill her. Whenever I talk to mum now she’s always asking about if I’m seeing anyone, have I met anyone, have I bought anyone. It’s getting out of hand, you have to stop it.
