Rogers to charge customers without text plans for incoming messages. ⇒

   6 May 2009, mid-morning

Canada is always on the cutting edge when it comes to price gouging cell phone customers.

This is a post from my link log: If you click the title of this post you will be taken the web page I am discussing.

  1. Wasn’t it just a few months ago that Bell/Telus introduced this and Rogers basically scoffed at them and said they valued their customers, etc. etc?

Clearly we’ve always been at war with Eastasia.

  2. Pretty much. And when is Prentice going to get off his ass and actually do something. I think there are very few Tory MPs I don’t want to punch in the dick at this point.

  3. Rogers is specifically on the cutting edge of gouging customers.

  4. Torontoist has a great article up on this subject. Charging for SMS messages is so obnoxious. I wish someone would nationalise the carriers. This is capitalism at its worse.

Don't be shy, you can comment too!

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
