This is a post from my link log: If you click the title of this post you will be taken the web page I am discussing.
I feel like it’s not something you really want from your hosting service provider. Modifications to your hosting environment don’t really happen that often and this just creates another way for people to attempt to compromise your account.

My host, Slicehost, has an API as well (and two iPhone apps for it). It’s actually pretty handy, since I could reboot the server or change DNS settings on the fly. But for someplace like Dreamhost? I don’t get it.

They are adding a slicehost like service to Dreamhost. Most of the API calls look to be for that.
