Now, I'm very pro-union, but yeah, striking over this sick day thing is kind of crazy. Also, if there is more to this strike than sick days, the union really should be working to get that message out. I can't imagine anyone is going to be sympathetic to their cause.

  1. I wouldn’t describe myself as pro-union at all, but I don’t believe anyone should have their need or desire for employment leveraged against them by their employers. If unions help to reduce leverage points, so be it.

    That said, I believe the effectiveness of unions in protecting employees and their source of employment is limited to certain situations, this not being one of them.

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
