A painting of me

TSA agents took my son. ⇒

   27 October 2009, mid-morning

Or so claimed a pretty shrill post a week or so back. And really, this is the TSA, so there wasn't much reason to doubt the ladies story. Except, in this case, the lady actually was just making shit up. The TSA posted a bunch of videos showing what actually took place. Oh snap?! There was a follow-up post, which didn't really back down from her initial claims, and finally a new post about 'ownership', where she goes on about she owns her thoughts and feelings and how this isn't news its social media, or something to that effect. Seriously. (Update: Be sure to read the comments, which are awesome and hasrh.) A lot of other mommy bloggers initially came to her defense, and now have to concede they were taken for a bit of a ride: This Sucks, Drama Llama Here Again, The Truth About Ownership. The moral in all this? Don't read fucking Mommy Blogs. This link was found via MetaFilter.

Don't be shy, you can comment too!

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
