Let's see: there are plenty of cases of women and babies dying of the flu; there are no cases of babies exploding from get the shots. Why are people so shitty at assessing risk? There seem to be a lot of "stop being stupid already" articles in the press recently about vaccines and vaccination. Two articles of note: An Epidemic of Fear: How Panicked Parents Skipping Shots Endangers Us All and The New Plague.
