A painting of me

I promise to never do this. This link was found via hicksdesign.

This is a post from my link log: If you click the title of this post you will be taken the web page I am discussing.

  1. Why not? Ram and Shima talking about the engagement ring will be the perfect podcast!

  2. Hells No—when I have a podcast you’ll know this web site has jumped the shark.

  3. Of course I was joking.

To me podcasting is a marketing invention. I am not against personal expression, but you just have to see all the bickering between the people who are behind it – W(h)iner, that MTV dude, etc and you get a bad taste in the mouth. The word podcasting just brings this image to my mind – created for the sole purpose of redefining what blogging is on the web so that we can be one step ahead of the masses, hype it to no end in this rejuvenated vc market, strike it rich with keynotes at several conventions, and cash out before the bubble bursts.

  4. I think podcasting as indie radio or timeshifted radio is a cool idea. Podcasting as a way to do audioblogging? Yech.

Don't be shy, you can comment too!

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
