This will probably be a long thread.

This is a post from my link log: If you click the title of this post you will be taken the web page I am discussing.

  1. I’m going to post here instead of on his original thread.

I agree with him very much. I’d build on what he says about meeting women is Asia though. I found that girls there found me far more attractive then girls do here. Including both asian and non-asian women in Canada. Although Toronto has become very multi-cultural recently, for people my age (25), they still grew up in a mostly white environment. The difference between being in Asia and here is huge, I was getting looks and hit on every night I went out; and I don’t think it was just because I looked like I was from Canada.

However, I’m not really “hung-up” on this issue. I realize that it is more difficult, and that there may be some sterotypes. Once I get to know people I make friends with people of all races reasonably easily. The only barriar really is meeting girls you want to date, without first having to be their friends. Not that dating a friend isn’t viable, it’s just that it’s restrictive (one less channel). (Compared to just meeting a stranger, or a semi-stranger.)

Further, it’s usually hardest to meet White girls born in Canada. I’ve had no problems dating Canadian born Indians or other races.

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
