A painting of me

Digital signatures and Apple Mail. ⇒

10 June 2005, the wee hours

My hope is that if I keep linking to crap like this everyone I know will start encrypting their mail.

This is a post from my link log: If you click the title of this post you will be taken the web page I am discussing.

  1. But isn’t encryption akin to wearing a “kick me” sign? Its like a flag that authorities can latch on to. Steganography, my friend.

  2. Unfortunately the version of Mail included with Tiger seems to have some issues with Thawte certificates, as described here

BTW thanks for linking to my “crap” ;-)

  3. What’s the point when Google is reading all your email, anyway?

  4. Yeah, I’ve had trouble with the self-signed certificates you can build with Keychain Access now. I’m hoping an update will be out to fix these issues soon.

Don't be shy, you can comment too!

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
