Twitter is requiring all 3rd party clients authenticate using OAuth, which is a giant kludge of an authentication system. (Currently 3rd party applications use xAuth to authenticate, which from a users perspective is basically all invisible.) This quote from Justin Williams sums things up quite nicely: “Twitter’s fall from grace as the best API platform to the most developer hostile is an exciting trainwreck to watch.“

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
