Hopefully. Still, quotes like this make me laugh. “I voted for lower taxes and no service cuts. That was what I was promised.” What did you think pays for the city’s services? Magic?

  2. Surprisingly…yes!
    A lot of people do think like that. It’s the backbone of NIMBY-ism. For some people, cuts to things that don’t affect them personally, is all good.

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
