The Top 50 Greatest Films of All Time. ⇒

According to the British Film Institute, anyway. The big news would be that Vertigo is now number one, ahead of Citizen Kane.
This is a post from my link log: If you click the title of this post you will be taken the web page I am discussing.
I think I really need to watch Citizen Kane.

Our local NPR station has a summer movie series where they show classic movies at a brew house (movies with beer and food that waiters brings to you in the theater). They showed Citizen Kane a few weeks ago. And so my first viewing of CK was on a big screen, and it was damned amazing.

Citizen Kane is amazing because it feels very much like a modern film in how it’s story is told. It seems really out of place when compared to other films of the time.
Also, Orwel played Unicorn so he gets extra props from me.
