To swaddle or not to swaddle? That's the new parental question. ⇒

As far as I can tell with this sort of thing, no one knows what they are talking about, and anything you do will probably work out alright. Shima and I swaddled Mythilli when she was born—as best we could—but stopped fairly quickly because she would just undo her swaddle. So far, so good.

  1. I swaddled the bejesus out of our daughter. She had the “oh shit I’m falling” episodes that would wake her up. As she started to be able to get her arms out, we swaddled her legs. As she started to get out of that, we just let her be.

    It’s hard being a normal parent who doesn’t get all worked up over every parenting choice.

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text.
