realistically, cost-per-minute isn’t a yardstick by which to judge a meal. I think if one gets to the point of watching the clock, it means they aren’t being sufficiently engaged by the food.
that’s not a judgement of the restaurant or even the diners, but an observation that cost-per-minute isn’t actually what they’re dissatisfied about.
