CBC News: Abortion clinic bomber gets life sentence. ⇒

"What they did was participate in the murder of 50 children a week," he said. "Abortion is murder, and because it is murder, I believe deadly force is needed to stop it." Well, you can't argue with logic like that. Why do so many people feel it is their duty to do Gods' work for him. I'm sure He can kill people himself if He was so inclined.

Fear religion. All of it. I am a strongly anti-religious.

Fair enough, though I find blanket judgments on groups are more often than not wrong. I think it’s easy to be dismissive of religion when you have people blowing shit up in the name of God. Mind you, charitable work done by churches and temples doesn’t get the same sort of press.

Plus religious groups can vote politians in power seemingly with ease.

I see where you are going Ram. However, I have thought about the blanket statement for a long time and I’m pretty comfortable with it. You don’t need to be part of a religious group to do charitable work. I’m on the board of directors for a charity, but I have no religious affiliation.
It’s not the terrorists that bother me about religion (not that terrorism doesn’t bother me in general), its the brainwashing, the history of violence and intolerence and the god fearing. God fearing in general is a danger in my opinion and thus pits me against religion in general. I question then non-diety religions on a different front, namely is it not really a philosophy, and if you would disagree, then likely you are attributing divine powers in some way and then treating it in a god like manner.
