  1. Ram,

The short answer is never. The new medium takes them so far out of their comfort zone, they can’t fathom what is beneficial for them.

I am a sports nut (Cricket, Soccer, Tennis). Since leaving India, I have missed Cricket the most. And thanks to regional considerations, exclusive coverage, and other such junk, one cannot even find a decent audio feed, much less video footage of the matches around the world on the net.

This is something people actually would pay for, but somehow this is lost on all media companies involved in Cricket.

Matt’s ideas seem common sense to us, but fantastickal (sic) and downright dangerous to these “old media companies.”

Don't be shy, you can comment too!

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
