  1. Just listened to the track. It’s pretty blah.

  2. It kind of sounds like the Fugees doing a caricature of the Fugees.

You know, I think some reunions are unnecessary. I’ve liked individual songs by Wyclef and Lauryn more than I’ve ever liked a Fugees song. What was amazing to me about the Fugees was that people with such talent got together as a group, but then moved on and made it for themselves. Like a lot of the guys from Wu-Tang Clan, really. I enjoy Red and Meth more than I ever liked Wu, and I think The Rza really proved himself with the Kill Bill soundtrack work.

In the end, I just think some reunions aren’t necessary, like sequels to great movies.

    ...

Postscript: Still listening to the track, it just sounds like a battle track, but… why? Meh. It’s pretty blah.

  3. the fact that they’re back together is way more important than the track. Anything that points to Lauryn Hill making music again is all good to me.

  4. Yeah like Dinu said, I think it’s just the potential of the Fugees now that they’re together that has everyone (including me) hyped. That being said, it’s a weak track to leak/lead off with.

(And to be pedantic…Redman isn’t a member of Wu-Tang. I can’t believe there’s a Wikipedia entry on all the affiliates!)

  5. Fair enough. Heh. And don’t worry, I like when people are pedantic. You learn things that way.

  6. nice, pras can finally retake the glory which he so truly deserves!

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
