Shadi Ghadirian is a photographer living in Iran. The second gallery is very interesting. This link was found via Metafilter.
This is a post from my link log: If you click the title of this post you will be taken the web page I am discussing.
Sometimes I wished I lived in Iran just so I could wear pretty chadors. I have one my mom made for me, it’s mostly yellow, I don’t think I’d be allowed to wear that though.

Shimo, the beauty of Canada is you can wear a Chador if you want. You can even have some flecks of hair showing at the front.

Would you walk with me and hold my hand if I wore a yellow chador? Because I’m sure I can ask my mom to find me my yellow one!
I can’t WAIT!! :D

Yeah, why not? I think you’d be more shy wearing it than I would be walking with you. Funny how a veil makes you more conspicuous here in Canada—it kind of serves the opposite purpose.
