A painting of me

Catholic Church no longer swears by truth of the Bible. ⇒

18 October 2005, the wee hours

I read this in passing last week, and didn't think much of it. Dave sent it to me today with the tag line, "Holy Shit". Reading it again, I'd have to agree with Dave. The Catholic church acting progressive? The times they are a changing.

This is a post from my link log: If you click the title of this post you will be taken the web page I am discussing.

  1. The Catholic Church was never a big fan of the Bible. The whole idea is that you follow what they tell you. You might read the Bible but don’t come back and ask questions.

  2. A Christian charity is sending a film about the Christmas story to every primary school in Britain after hearing of a young boy who asked his teacher why Mary and Joseph had named their baby after a swear word.

    That’s just awesome

  3. Yeah Jesse, I saw that on the evening news. Kids can say some really funny stuff like that. Classic!

Don't be shy, you can comment too!

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
