A painting of me

Lawrence reports that metropasses sold out this month for the first time ever. He also sheds some light on how the number of buses on TTC routes is revised. The bus I take, the 191 Rocket, is packed full of god damn Humber students during rush hour. And they never take off their backpacks.

This is a post from my link log: If you click the title of this post you will be taken the web page I am discussing.

  1. When they are sitting or standing? I only take my knapsack off on the bus if I’m sitting.

  2. Your time is wrong too, eh? It’s only noon here, which means it’s only 3 pm there, not 4 pm. So I think your webserver forgot about daylight savings time.

  3. I totally know what you mean.

There were on several occasions when someone knocked me over with their backback.

Sitting or standing, take off your backpack—it not only prevents people getting knocked over (e.g. me) it creates a lot more space for people standing.

  4. When I’m standing I just use one shoulder strap, so I don’t think it’s too bad that way. But, if you’re standing and you take off your knapsack, where are you suppose to put it?

  5. At your feet, where no one is going to step on it, of course.

  6. Yeah, proper etiquette would be to tuck your bag under your legs. If you have a giant-ass back back that’s the nice thing to do on a crowded bus.

  7. My umbrella is at my feet though, (where it won’t drip on people).

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
