A painting of me

Animal Crossing Engagement. ⇒

   30 November 2005, late afternoon

A boy proposes to his girlfriend through the letter system in Animal Crossing. The strange part is they both look incredibly normal.

This is a post from my link log: If you click the title of this post you will be taken the web page I am discussing.

  1. i hope this is no indication of what to expect in the future.

  2. I have noticed that this is the second time in not so long that Ram posts about marriage… Must be on his mind… Shima… get ready…

  3. I don’t think there is any need to hold your breath. I predict it won’t be anytime before the summer or fall of 2006.

I’m taking bets, any takers? :P

  4. Shima, you better read all the posts and comments on this blog or you may miss it. =P

  5. Proposal via Kinja Digest! I’m calling it!

I’m picking up my copy of AC DS on Saturday.

  6. I thought it doesn’t come out till the 7th here in Canada? And no, i’ll propose in person thank you all very much.

  7. oh, so you actually plan on proposing? :P

  8. I think the face-to-face proposal is the only way to roll. I can’t fully grasp why anyone would want to do it screen-to-screen, but I do appreciate that it’s probably very special for the two parties involved—which is what matters most.

  9. I was caught slightly off-guard by an incorrect advertisement. Damn you Zellers. I have my raincheque, and they’re saying they’ll call me on the 6th. Fingers crossed. I should know better that new videogames day is Tuesday (I think?).

Don't be shy, you can comment too!

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
