Programming Ruby: The Pragmatic Programmer's Guide ⇒

   6 September 2004, mid-afternoon

A free online copy of what I am told is a great book to learn Ruby from.

This is a post from my link log: If you click the title of this post you will be taken the web page I am discussing.

  1. Have you tried learning Ruby yet?

  2. No. But I really want to. There are some really interesting web projects written in the language. Instiki, which I linked to above, and Ruby on Rails, which is a MVC framework. The language is supposed to be really easy to use. I think I might look into learning it at some point. Python is another language I would like to learn better.

Don't be shy, you can comment too!

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
