  1. Of course it’s cool people can do this… but you need to look at it from Apple’s standpoint. They have a LOT to lose, and pretty much nothing to gain from something like this.

If Apple lets something like this go without a fight, Apple will be known as the company who endorses music piracy… and that would kill Apple’s hold on the music biz.

Just the thought of doing business with a company who simply doesn’t care whether or not people pirate MP3s is enough to make some people question their integrity.

    That said, they are assholes.

  2. Yeah. I understand why Apple makes sure all these tools that could be used for piracy get taken down. The thing is, they do have legitimate uses to. The MP3s on my iPod don’t match the ones on my computer, and there are plenty of times I would like to copy some of them back. An application that could do this seamlessly would be great.

Don't be shy, you can comment too!

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
