Wait, you mean Muslims aren't all crazy? Shocking!

This is a post from my link log: If you click the title of this post you will be taken the web page I am discussing.

  1. Is it possible that world opinion is shifting? European countries have shifted between pro and anti Muslim (though more so as a consequence of being pro or anti American), but always oscillated closely around neutral (or their vision of neutral). But it seems that this round of support (reprinting of the cartoons) may be showing that these neutral places are sick of playing devils advocate, and are not impressed by the lack of respect that the more vocal Muslim community show to others opinions(whom may or may not show them any respect). Well and that journalists do stick together. In the end, so much attention goes to the middle east, but they are not the most down-trodden or deserve the most attention. They aren’t more poor then others Laos, have more disease like Africa, have more war crimes (genocide), or need to stop being bullied by other nations like Taiwan. But instead they don’t like McDonald’s and freedom for women. I’m starting to really develop a bias here.

It reminds me of some people in high-school that you hang out with and realize that they have extreme views that are high justified to themselves. You begin to realize they are nuts, and that rationalizing with them is far less safe then making new friends.

Don't be shy, you can comment too!

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
