A Meditation On the Speed Limit. ⇒

   28 February 2006, mid-afternoon

A video of some kids driving the posted speed limit, and the crazyness that follows. I can't hear the sound at work, so the people themselves may be really annoying.

This is a post from my link log: If you click the title of this post you will be taken the web page I am discussing.

  1. That was very impressive

  2. the world (especially toronto) would be a better place with more Autobahns

  3. Nice.

Our highways are obviously way too slow here as well. We should easily be able to go 120 as a safe limit. Or give the really slow drivers a 100 right lane.

Hmm I wonder if that would be too confusing? Right now the left lane is the “fast” lane, but what if it was posted at 140, then the middle at 120, and the right at 100? That seems like it could work…

  4. They should have speed limits that get throttled up or down depending on the traffic volume and weather conditions.

Don't be shy, you can comment too!

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
