I'm sure all the fighting in Iraq will stop now.

This is a post from my link log: If you click the title of this post you will be taken the web page I am discussing.

  1. Saw this on CNN first thing. And the first thing I saw was the big picture of dead al-Zarqawi’s face. And just as when they killed Saddam Hussein’s sons, I had to ask, “Doesn’t that directly violate the Geneva Convention?” I was under the impression that it was a violation to show pictures of your dead enemies like that.

On the other hand, I understand that if they didn’t show the pictures and prove conclusively that the man was dead, there would be “al-Zarqawi spotted in local 7-Eleven” rumors constantly running through Baghdad. I dunno. It’s a difficult situation.

Don't be shy, you can comment too!

Some things to keep in mind: You can style comments using Textile. In particular, *text* will get turned into text and _text_ will get turned into text. You can post a link using the command "linktext":link, so something like "google":http://www.google.com will get turned in to google. I may erase off-topic comments, or edit poorly formatted comments; I do this very rarely.
