Saw this on CNN first thing. And the first thing I saw was the big picture of dead al-Zarqawi’s face. And just as when they killed Saddam Hussein’s sons, I had to ask, “Doesn’t that directly violate the Geneva Convention?” I was under the impression that it was a violation to show pictures of your dead enemies like that.
On the other hand, I understand that if they didn’t show the pictures and prove conclusively that the man was dead, there would be “al-Zarqawi spotted in local 7-Eleven” rumors constantly running through Baghdad. I dunno. It’s a difficult situation.
