  1. oh lordy, the system is so stacked and discriminatory. my dad, despite 20+ years of teaching in england, sierra leone, nigeria, and sri lanka, a bachelors, masters, and a b.ed from uft, total fluency in english and tamil, was unable to find a full-time teaching gig in toronto.

    and it doesn’t even look to be changing, i was recently at a school in malvern, that was overwhelming South Asian kids, and i made it a point to see the number of South Asian teachers on the school pic, there were none. more or less all whites.

    it really kills me to see this debate abt how naive Canada is, and oh, maybe we should drop multiculturalism in light of the terrorist arrests. please.
